On December 3rd, the 3rd International Cultural Festival of Guilin Medical College opened at the International Education Exchange Center. The theme of this year's International Cultural Festival is "Answering the Questions of the Times • Building a Community with a Shared Future for Human Health". Representatives of the United Front Work Department of the Guilin Municipal Party Committee, the Foreign Affairs Office of Guilin Municipality, and Chinese and foreign teachers and students from 15 colleges and universities participated in the event. Ma Xianli, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, vice dean and director of the Organization Department of our university, and the heads of various functional departments and second-level colleges attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by the head of the International Education College/International Cooperation and Exchange Office of our school.

The Foreign Affairs Office of the Autonomous Region, as well as kimep University of Kazakhstan, Lincoln University College malaysia, University of Debrecen University of Hungary and other friendly institutions abroad, congratulated the holding of this international cultural festival through video.

In his speech, Ma Xianli said that the cultural festival will display the style of Chinese and foreign students and deepen inter-university cooperation and exchanges by building a platform for Sino-foreign cultural exchanges and cooperation between universities in the region. It is hoped that all schools will form a joint force for development, focus on shaping the overall good image of Guangxi's colleges and universities, and promote the development of Guangxi's education opening up to the outside world in depth and breadth.

At the opening ceremony, our school also signed a "Friendly Cooperation Agreement" with the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain, and held an unveiling ceremony for our school to join the China-ASEAN Information Port Electronic Information Talent Training and Science and Technology Innovation Alliance. Subsequently, the guests visited the exhibition of the internationalization of education in Guilin Medical College.

At the Forum on the Internationalization Trend and Development of Higher Education in the Central and Western Regions in the New Era, He Jian, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office of Nanning Normal University, and Wei Bing, Dean of the School of International Education of our university, made keynote speeches respectively, which aroused the resonance of the representatives of participating universities.

This year's International Cultural Festival also held the "Excellent Chinese and Foreign Culture and Food Exhibition". Chinese and foreign students deeply experienced the charm of Chinese culture by experiencing folk arts such as paper-cutting, calligraphy and painting, and Hanfu; the international students also shared multinational cuisine with the people present. During the cultural festival, a literary and artistic evening party of "Gathering Colorful Gui Doctors and Sharing Cultural Feast" was also held. The participating universities selected and sent excellent programs to participate in the performance, the programs were wonderful, and the enthusiasm of the audience was high.
